Arizona: Abolish the death penalty

Arizona is preparing to use cyanide to kill people on death row - the same lethal gas used at Auschwitz during the Second World War. The state will force prisoners to choose between execution by lethal gas or lethal injection.

But this is the ugly truth Arizona leaders don’t want you to know about: the last two executions in Arizona using both of these methods went horrifically wrong. Lethal injection is just as brutal, and has been called the chemical equivalent of being burned alive at the stake.

It doesn’t matter how it’s done: the death penalty is cruel and unusual punishment.
